The Kimseed De-Huller/Scarifier was developed to meet needs in the experimental area of agronomy.
The machine effectively and efficiently de-hulls or scarifies a wide range of seed types such as Serradella, scratching the seed coat to allow moisture in which improves germination.
Can effectively process a variety of legumes, including chickpeas, peas, lentils, mungbeans, and cowpeas.
Features
De-hull rate 4-700kg per hour
Scarifying rate 5-1000kg per hour
Speed selection is determined according to the hardness and susceptibility of the seed to damage
Within the scarifying chamber there is a stationary top abrasive disc which can be modified with a rubber disc for scarifying
Top disc is adjusted up from the bottom disc by turning the top assembly to set the gap to process the seeds, which is then locked
4 discs available: 24, 36, 60 and rubber
Speed Control
Disc speed is set by a 4-speed pulley system
Bottom pulley determines disc speed
Dehulling gap is determined by the graduated dimples on the top assembly
Gap between dimples equates to 0.75mm increase in disc gap
Flow rate can be determined manually by observing the flow of seed from the outlet tube
